Owner:

Geraldine "Louise" Tremblay

After 20 years of teaching and studying in Quebec and Montreal Universities, (teaching credential, BA in psychology, Master Study in adult education). I decided to leave my native land and head for the United States. I wanted to learn English and keep traveling. Family and friends kept saying; Why not stay here? You can keep teaching, you only need 15 more years for your pension! you can build a house here, "basicaly have a life here with us..."

These and many more questions permeated my mind. Slowly over time the answer arrived from my spiritual intuition, I realized I don’t need a house rather I need to build the house inside me. So, off I went!

I left for America and enrolled myself into creative dance in New York. After one year, I crossed the country visiting, hiking, bicycling etc. My travels finally brought me to California where I pursued my training in Aikido for more than five years.

I created, built and ran an aikido school for 18 years in Santa Barbara with my partner Bill. In pursuing my love for aikido, I shared many deep friendships as a member and as a senior teacher (6th degree black belt) of the aikido community. I found aikido to be a great form of dynamic meditation and it is a place where I can say 'no matter how I feel, after an hour of aikido I am rejuvenated!' During that time I studied and practiced at the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine and became certified in Shiatsu massage. For me, studying Shiatsu was a continuation of my aikido training; breathing, centering, focusing, sharing, and staying connected to inner and outer communication.

Yoga has also been in my life as long as aikido. It keeps me centered where I can work with my body from the core while keeping my awareness on the breath. I am certified as a yoga teacher through Integrative Yoga Therapy.

My quest for learning and experiencing had me doing meditation throughout my entire journey. I also deeply enjoy chi gong, tai chi, painting, hiking, bicycling, sailing, scuba diving, and surfing. Every one of these I love. When you have so many passions, it is easy to say “So much to do, so little time!”

Moving to Hawaii added a different experience. I acquired my certification in "brain gym" and kinesiology which was integrated into my aikido classes for the last 20 years; this lead to the creation of “Learning Through Movement” program. We can learn to accomplish most life activities stress free and more enjoyable!

I have built a facility here in Makaha Valley on beautiful Oahu, Hawaii to express and share my love for the abundant healing nature provides. We invite you to share the Hawaiian experience. Come, enjoy, and embrace this opportunity to heal yourself at every level.

Xavier Staub, MA, PhD, LAC. Xavier provides teaching and lectures, as well as personal consultation toward designing and customizing a supportive and fearless awakening.

William Xavier Staub was born in the year of the dragon, 1952, in Massachusetts USA. After graduating from the Immaculate Conception High School, he entered the US Army, fully believing he was defending his country from the scourge of communism erupting out of Vietnam. Upon completing his tour in the US Army, Xavier continued his education at the University of Massachusetts.

Driven to extricate himself from the religious and political beliefs imposed on him from birth, Xavier looked for points of view alternative to those presented by Catholic and military dogma. This turned his focus toward the Eastern traditions and philosophies.

The martial art of Aikido, with its focus on the use of natural dynamic body movement to purify all levels of one’s essence from negativity and fear, seemed a natural fit. After 30 years as a student of the art, Xavier continues to share his experience as a 6th degree black belt and senior teacher of the USAF. His continued studies in acupuncture and natural healing have further informed his life and healing practice.

Xavier’s many experiences with non-physical existence of the self, revealed to him by way of out of body experiences, lucid dreaming and astral travel, have intimately influenced his journey, leading him to meditation and fasting for up to 40 days at a time on distilled water only. His continued explorations eventually opened the path to a breatherian practice. Following in this new direction, he spent 30 days without food in a Dark Room Retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Twenty-two of those days were spent in darkness and silence and the last 8 of those days without water. It was his experiences in this darkness and silence that led him to consider changing the path of his acupuncture and healing practice to focus more strongly on the re-awakening and re-linking of the spirit to the body, or of the mundane to the divine.
